Leaves of Grass in Brooklyn

Dumbo, originally uploaded by 8marchetti.

These fiber optic stalks of grass are sprouting beneath the Manhattan Bridge in New York City. If you are in Brooklyn, you might want to go down to area between the Brooklyn and the Manhattan bridges, and check it out. When you see this electric grass from a distance the green light competes with the sodium vapor lamps of the bridge and streets across the river, but when you get closer, the green overwhelms, and you see nothing but green glow. It's part of an endless rotation of art and sculpture that seems to just appear in the streets around the Dumbo neighborhood.
